Celebrating 20 Years of Film and Music in Manitoba

This fall, three of Manitoba's most prominent arts organizations will celebrate two decades of support and development in this province's cultural sector.

It has been 20 years since MANITOBA FILM & SOUND, the Manitoba Audio Recording Industry Association (MARIA), and the Manitoba Motion Picture Industry Association (MMPIA) were established. Since then, the Manitoba film and music industries have seen dramatic growth and significant accomplishments, making Manitoba a true artistic destination on the world stage. These developments are due in large part to the existence of each of these three organizations, which have been instrumental in the continued success of our arts industry on the local, national, and international fronts.

The milestone is being marked this fall in Winnipeg, by celebrating the achievements, the commitment, and the development that our industry has enjoyed since 1987.
